ARTIST NOTES: I was inspired to paint this from a photo on instagram by @gday2u who kindly agreed to me using his wonderful photo as a reference. I loved the way that the light was really framing the bird from the front and wanted to reflect this in my painting. There is something un-doubtably Australian about a galah and I really enjoyed capturing it, most likely the first of many that I will paint. Painted using artists quality watercolour paint on 300gsm 100% cotton Arches watercolour paper. Professionally framed in a grey frame with double mat board that perfectly compliments and enhances the painting. Dimensions given include the frame.
