In 1977 The Rotary Club of Altona our club held its first Art Exhibition and Sale and this year we mark its 47th Anniversary. The Exhibition and Sale has become an important fixture for both artists and lovers of Art and open to advancement and growth to enhance our ability to showcase Rotary and Fine Art for the purpose of raising funds for projects locally, international so as to benefit all.
The Rotary Club of Altona was chartered in February 1963 and is part of Rotary International a non-political, non-religious, worldwide organisation of more than 1.2 million members in 35,989 clubs in 220 countries/geographical areas.
Rotary Altona members undertake a wide range of projects in our community, whether it’s to the sick, the under-privileged, the elderly or youth programs. In the international arena, we sponsor students overseas in exchange programs, post-graduate scholarships and business study groups.
The club volunteers and partners with many other Not-for-Profit organisations and services in our local area to maximise the benefits to the community.
